Part Three – Susan slips away in the Doctor’s arms when another Susan appears, claiming to be the one he ‘left behind’.
I Know You Know I Know: The audio ends with the real Susan having taken the place of the "fictional" Susan the Doctor created to be his companion while the other Susan returns to Gallifrey to tie up loose ends before her now-inevitable death. The Doctor knows the truth, but pretends to believe Susan's claim that she's the one he created to make things easier.
Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Without the practical experience of his canon counterpart, the Doctor's more blatant interference in history has created a timeline where Elizabethan England has spaceships and Earth faces imminent destruction.
Selective Obliviousness: The Doctor constantly protests against the idea that his actions have changed history, arguing that he's "just" in an alternate timeline even as he's constantly told this is impossible.
