Hex becomes a teacher at Friedkin University, moving on from his days of evil. Gwen impresses him with her knowledge, but a class is interrupted when Charmcaster launches an attack on the university.

- Heel–Face Turn: Hex of all people is now a good guy.

- Prof. Xagliv hits on Hex right after dismissing the schoolgirl crushes of his students. Fortunately, Hex sees her as an Abhorrent Admirer.
- Kevin assumes that Gwen doesn't have a crush on Hex, because she'd never fall for that kind. He receives a Death Glare for that comment.
- Internal Reveal: Ben and Rook inform Hex, Gwen and Kevin of Charmcaster's current questionable sanity.
- Made of Indestructium: Kevin's new car isn't, but that doesn't stop him and Rook from trying to make it so during the B-plot.
- Noodle Incident: Charmcaster apparently put the trapped Darkstar in the dishwasher.
- Stealth Hi/Bye: Charmcaster makes one during Hex's lecture.
- Tempting Fate: As Kevin and Rook celebrate creating a car that not even Ben can destroy, a stray spell from Charmcaster zaps it out of existence. Kevin is left with a Twitchy Eye, while Rook can only say "Magic".
- Twitchy Eye: Kevin does this when he and Rook finish making his car indestructible and celebrate their hard work... only for one of Charmcaster's spells to get deflected at it and transport it to another dimension.Rook: [realizing what they forgot] Magic.
