We take a look at the planet Saxumundus, the home planet of the Felistacatus, the species of Cat-Apult.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Canifigerra possess ground manipulation powers, able to mentally manipulate rocks and dirt or even change its density from a solid to liquid or back again.
- Serial Escalation: Over the course of the story, the alliances between the three main species on Saxumundus slowly get bigger and bigger. First, a Trabeamus makes friends with a Canifigerra, then the two of them expand this to include another Trabeamus and a Felistacatus, with them becoming a family. Then it is shown a much larger group of the three species have made an alliance together and attack their home, with them escaping and eventually creating their own larger group, now creating a castle instead of a small home.
- Thinking Up Portals: Trabeamus' have the ability to leave glyphs, that once two objects are marked become a doorway through space that allows the Trabeamus to travel from one glyph to the other. Others can use the glyphs to teleport as well, but it takes a lot more energy to do so. The glyphs will also fade after each use, so it is often used as a quick way to escape danger.
- Turn the Other Cheek: When a Canifigerra unknowingly destroys a Trabeamus' home, instead of being upset at its home being destroyed, the rodent is impressed by the dog's abilities and approaches him to suggest an alliance between them, which is accepted. This is subverted later when the family of the Trabeamus, Canifigerra, and Felistacatus have their home destroyed by a much larger group. After escaping, they all swear to have revenge on the ones who did this.
