Recap / Beavis And Butthead S 9 E 13 Kidney

Go To

Old Beavis needs a kidney, and his only donor is Old Stewart.

Tropes:

  • All for Nothing: Old Stewart drives all the way back to Highland to be an organ donor to Beavis because he's willing to help someone he thinks is his friend, only for Beavis to show no appreciation for the sacrifice, insult Stewart cruelly, and after the successful transplant, destroy Stewart's kidney with alcohol before the day is even over.
  • Billy Needs an Organ: Old Beavis' kidneys explode when he doesn't pee for several days straight, and the only eligible donor in Texas is Stewart Stevenson.
  • Bolivian Army Ending: The episode ends with Beavis destroying his newly donated kidney and writhing on the floor in agony. Being as Stewart was the only person in the state who matched Beavis and he already donated a kidney, it leaves it unlikely that Beavis will survive.
  • Contrived Coincidence: There is only one person in the entire state of Texas eligible to donate a kidney for Old Beavis, and it just so happens to be Old Stewart Stevenson.
  • Determinator: As self-destructive as the end result was, it's still something that Old Beavis managed to hold his bladder for several consecutive days.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Old Butt-head doesn't care that Old Beavis passed out in front of him.
  • The Ditz: Smart Beavis and Butt-head get scammed into buying a "beachfront property on the moon" by a "hot single" named Melody1998. Because they can't contact her, they instead decide to observe Old Beavis and Butt-head.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Unlike Beavis and Butt-head, Stewart left Highland and actually seems to have a happy life, a good job and a family, with triplets.
  • Here We Go Again!: Old Beavis ruins the donated kidney by drinking champagne.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Old Beavis ruins his new kidney by chugging an entire bottle of champagne, all because he's annoyed by how polite Old Stewart is.
  • Irony: When Old Butt-head is asleep, Old Beavis puts a chip clip on his wiener so he doesn't have to use the bathroom, instead of just peeing when the opportunity presented itself.
  • Kick the Dog: At one point while Old Beavis is holding it, Old Butt-head taunts him by pouring a liquid in front of him in an attempt to make him pee himself.
  • LOL, 69: Old Beavis tells the doctor his pain level is 69.
  • Power Trio: Old Stewart thinks he was this with the duo. As they break it to him, no they weren't.
  • Tempting Fate: Old Stewart tells Butt-head that he and Beavis can't drink because of the transplant. Guess what happens to Old Beavis' donated kidney not too long after.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Old Beavis becomes this trope when he starts chugging booze mere moments after being told he must not drink, but Old Stewart deserves a mention as well for taking the old duo to a place that serves alcohol in the first place.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Old Beavis is happy he doesn't have to do anything in return for Stewart and ends up ruining his new kidney by drinking, despite the fact Stewart drove several hours to see him.
