The ninth episode of Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two and the 73rd episode of the overall series. Puffball and Coiny are eliminated, and the featured challenge is to avoid the zombified characters.

Tropes associated with this episode include:

  • Bait-and-Switch: When Teardrop is told by Two that she's eliminated, it looks like she is going to say her first word much to everyone's shock. Turns out, she was actually just making a waving gesture to say that it's alright.
  • Better to Die than Be Killed: When Pillow finds Bomby, instead of letting her kill him, Bomby ignites himself to go out on his own terms, while also killing Pillow.
  • Big "NO!":
    • Tennis Ball's reaction upon discovering that Golf Ball is in the bottom two.
    • Pin's reaction when Coiny is eliminated and zombified.
    • Eraser fills in for Just Not when Two confirms they're up for elimination, but he barely puts in any effort for it.
  • Call-Back: When One appears, they say "Hey, guys!" to a completely blank field, like how Two said "Hi, guys!" while heading to Earth during their initial introduction.
  • Dramatic Irony: Black Hole remarks that his team caused no death whatsoever, while being blissfully unaware that the snowball he destroyed was actually a fellow contestant.
    • Subverted; it is shown in the next episode that Snowball is alive and well, albeit as a pile of snow without limbs.
  • Dramatically Missing the Point: Just Not is unable to get the full explanation of the rules due to the hazy connection on Two's video call, but they glean it has to do with two teams being fully killed. While the others remain skeptical that it's about the teams killing themselves to win, Pillow fully rides the idea and starts hunting down her teammates.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Bell, unable to float due to the weight of her teammates, thinks an undead Nonexisty is trying to weigh them down. Robot Flower correctly identifies it to be the Yoylemetal-ified Snowball.
  • Grievous Bottley Harm: Combined with Grievous Harm with a Body, as the broken bottle Pillow uses to try to attack Price Tag is part of BBQ Sauce's dead body.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be:
    • When the zombies try to bite Snowball, they can't infect him because he's made of Yoylemetal, but they do manage to tear him in half.
    • When a zombified Income Tax Return Document grabs Donut, Needle attempts to rescue him but ends up tearing him in half.
    • Pillow, who thinks the challenge is to kill everyone, tears Price Tag in half.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Teardrop jumps inside of Barf Bag in order to save the other contestants. Unlike other cases in the series, this comes with the additional sacrifice that she eliminates herself in the process.
  • Heroic Willpower: Even when zombified, Two retains enough control to just send contestants to the elimination area instead of killing them.
  • In Medias Res: The episode begins with a scene of a zombified Barf Bag trying to get into the hotel. When Eraser asks what happened, the following is a flashback with narration from Golf Ball and Tennis Ball on where the zombification came from.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Two assumes that they can't be made into a sickly green zombie because they're already green, lampshading how inanely convenient this assumption is by saying "I love my logic." They are then immediately jumped by Barf Bag, thus being zombified.
  • Interrogated for Nothing: Four interrogates Roboty about where the rest of the EXITors went, but Roboty couldn't possibly know this information since Four took him before they even went anywhere. It doesn't seem like he cares about where they went either, making him that much more useless for information.
  • It Can Think: The zombies chasing The Strongest Team On Earth possess enough intelligence to use the Kill-Recover trick on Snowball in order to make him vulnerable to being infected, and then they later push him in the snow to make him ginormous.
  • It's the Best Whatever, Ever!: When Clock fishes a clone of X out of the lake, X merges with the clone and declares it the "best day ever".
  • Killed Offscreen: Part of BBQ Sauce's corpse is among the ruins of Gelatin's Steakhouse, which Pillow attempts to use to attack Price Tag.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Thanks to the faulty connection at Gelatin's Steakhouse, Just Not doesn't know what the competition is until Needle mentions that it would help her teams chances of survival if they could have some of the Steakhouse's glasses. They also don't find out about the zombies since the building is completely safe from outside threat. Despite this, they're one of the two teams to lose thanks to Pillow misunderstanding the objective.
  • No-Sell: Metal objects (except for Coiny and some of the recommended characters) are immune to zombification, as shown with Yoyleball and Robot Flower. The former isn't immune to the kill-recover trick, though.
  • Only a Flesh Wound: When Pillow tries to attack Price Tag with part of BBQ Sauce's dead body, Price Tag kicks it at Pillow, exposing her stuffing and causing her to keel over. But when Bomby tells Price Tag they've done a good job, Pillow is revealed to be Not Quite Dead, and proceeds to tear Price Tag in half.
    Pillow: They only grazed me!
  • Super-Strength: Two of the zombies effortlessly tear Snowball, who was made of Yoylemetal, in half.
  • Tempting Fate: When the zombies try to bite Snowball, but can't infect him because he's made of Yoylemetal:
Bell: See, I knew they couldn't do anything.
[the zombies tear Snowball in half, then recover him and infect him]
  • To Be Continued: In The Stinger, a "To Be Continued" screen is displayed after One comes out of a hole in the moon.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Eraser of all participants was the one who congratulated Teardrop for how long she participated in the game on a team by herself.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Eraser holds on to Pen's cap which had turned green due to his zombification.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The contestants accidentally caused the zombie outbreak when trying to turn Barf Bag back to normal after being emptied. Since Rocky's elimination, there's no way to create more vomit besides recovery and the only vomit around is mixed with the volcano's lava. While Tennis Ball says they could just kill and recover her, Black Hole insists that they get the vomit in the volcano, only for the lava-vomit to turn her into a zombie.
  • Wall Jump: Teardrop does it when she tries to escape the zombies through the vent.
  • "You!" Exclamation: Four says it in The Stinger when he catches Pencil, Bracelety and David trying to escape.
  • Zombie Apocalypse: The featured challenge is for each team to avoid the zombified characters for as long as they can.
