The final episode of Battle for BFDI and season 4 finale of the Battle for Dream Island series. Flower ends up winning the contest, and the prize is revealed to be the only existing physical copy of BFDI.

"Chapter Complete" contains examples of:

  • Ascended Fanboy: Four is revealed to be this. He remembered all of the episodes of BFDI and fell in love with the show. He really wanted to be on the show and once BFDIA ended, he created the BFDI prize which was a compilation of all of the BFDI and BFDIA episodes compiled together and as of BFB, he lived the dream!
  • Book Ends:
    • Invoked at the end by Leafy, who wants the finale to end on the same word that was said in the first episode. After several failed attempts, she and Firey finally succeed due to X stealing their propeller.
    • The first season ended with Firey and Leafy hang-gliding into the sunset. Here, it ends with them sailing into the sunset to find a new Dream Island.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall:
    • In a flashback, after Four descends into the ground:
Gelatin: Looks like that's all over! Roll credits!...or we can keep the episode going or something maybe...Yeah, that was my other idea! End the episode or... uh... find help or whatever, either works.
    • When Teardrop points to a tree that Four has possessed, Four gets hit by one of the imaginary lines pointing to him.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending:
    • The whole BFB cast, no longer bound by the stress of competing against each other, can finally enjoy some relaxation for the time being.
    • Flower has finally cleaned up her act after eleven years and befriends the rest of the cast.
    • Leafy and Firey decide to find a Dream Island of their own, as a way to make up for their estrangement.
  • Fake-Out Opening: The first scenes of the episode shows what appears to be a BFB episode, except the eliminated contestants are the only contestants shown and the finalists are Pencil and Bracelety, who seem to be very fond of Four. It turns out this was just in Four's subconscious.
  • Good-Times Montage: One occurs at the climax as Gelatin shows Four a montage of clips from previous episodes, and later near the end as the characters throw a party for Four and Gelatin tells his fellow contestants stories about their adventures.
  • Left Hanging: The EXIT contestants are not mentioned at all at the end. We don't know if Four will release them. This arc was returned to in TPOT.
  • Lying Creator: It was said that the contestants in the EXIT would not appear again in BFB and only appear in TPOT. They do appear here but as figments of Four's imagination.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
    • Four gets one from Imaginary!Match when she points out what he had done to the other contestants.
    • Gelatin gives a rather harsh one to Four during the climax:
Four: Please, why won't you all just leave me alone?! You don't want me as your host, I get it, whatever! I moved on, so why won't you?!
Gelatin: Because we're mad, okay?! We're mad at you Four! You come in, and make us compete for these prizes, and you hurt us! And you're mean to us! And then we all choose to still compete for your prize, and you continue to hurt us and...I don't know, pulling your fingers so we feel pain for your own benefit, or like, killing us or doing that weird thing where you spin us into weird shapes? And you put all of us in cages for months?! We like you Four, that's why we stayed. But you can't expect us to remain fully committed when you don't even treat us nicely!
  • Red Skies Crossover: More like Blue Skies Crossover, as when Four possesses the Sun in an effort to get away from everyone, Two from The Power of Two shows up, but chooses not to do anything.
  • The Reveal: "A BFDI" is revealed to be the only existing physical copy of Battle for Dream Island, made because Four loved the show so much. It's also the reason why The Announcer went through so much trouble to keep it.
  • Wham Line: The true purpose of the BFDI:
Purple Face: Oh, why is it so important, Speaker Face? Just get another copy!
Announcer: That's exactly it. This is the only remaining copy of the entire show.
    • Then later, when X explains why BFB means so much to Four:
X: Oh! Well, back in the day, BFDI was his favorite show.
  • Wingding Eyes: 8-Ball gains X-eyes when Four zaps him with his Eye Beams.
