You swing me right 'round like a record, baby
The third episode of Battle for BFDI and the 34th episode of the overall series. Leafy gets eliminated, and for the third challenge, each team has to swing 50 times to win immunity. However, Taco is still trapped inside a jawbreaker from last episode, and her team ignores her on the latter. Team Ice Cube loses.
Tropes include:
- 360-Degree Swing Set Swing: This is the challenge for the episode. Each team has to spin around their swings fifty times in order to win. The contestants saw creative uses of these like using Black Hole's gravitational pull and using Fanny and Clock on the swing's fulcrums.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Book eventually becomes to this towards Taco.
- Buffy Speak: Tree tells Black Hole to do his "pully-attracty stuff" to spin Death P.A.C.T.'s swing around.
- Butt-Monkey: Taco temporarily becomes something like this after being ignored and insulted by her whole team, throughout the episode.
- Chekhov's Gun: The jawbreakers from last episode that were used during the challenge. Taco never got freed from hers, however, and after she breaks free from it in this episode, this kickstarts her conflict with her team due to them believing that she abandoned them.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: After accidentally being hit by a fork, Pen gets very painfully sucked into Black Hole.
- Idiot Ball: Although it's later implied that sound can come in, but not out of jawbreakers, Book accuses Taco of abandoning Team BLEH just because she couldn't hear her.
- Additionally, none of the Team BLEH members even stopped to question why there was a jawbreaker on their swingset, and immediately get angry at Taco once she frees herself from it.
- Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Four has one before he zaps Gelatin with lasers: "It's time."
- Reality Warper: Black Hole states that he can "pull like there's no tomorrow", then explains that he can warp space-time so hard that there will be no tomorrow.
- Reverse Psychology: Golf Ball uses this for her team's strategy when she realizes that they'll only listen to 8-Ball, who is saying the opposite of everything GB says.
- Took a Level in Jerkass:
- Four for insulting X and ignoring him.
- Book and Team BLEH for ignoring and insulting Taco because they think she abandoned them.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Donut, when he tries to motivate his teammates to win the third challenge. Even though his team loses, he shows genuine concern for an injured Bomby and even brings him a first-aid kit with bandages.
- Unusual Euphemism: "Sleep" is apparently Four's code word for elimination and Eternal Algebra Class.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Taco's jawbreaker, which is sitting on her team's swing the entire time during the challenge. The team still continues to ignore it, and immediately begin badmouthing her the moment she escapes.
- Voodoo Doll: Balloony's Earth causes Four to be crushed when Balloony pokes it during Cake at Stake.
