Ooh, shiny!

The thirteenth episode of Battle for BFDI, the 44th episode of the overall series, and the first half of a Multi-Part Episode, the second being BFB 14. Firey Jr. gets eliminated, and the featured challenge is to find X's treasure before he does.

Tropes include:

  • Animation Bump: The animation is more fluid and higher quality, due to a higher budget.
  • Backstabbing the Alpha Bitch: Having enough of Book and her being apathetic towards her teammates, Ice Cube leaves Bleh so she'll be happier.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When Fries, Eraser, and Bell wait around Four and X, they predict that the challenge will be announced by Four once X starts levitating in the air. After a few frames of X floating upwards, they immediately send themselves into the ground, with all the soil in their path raining down. Cue a Jaw Drop Reaction Shot from Fries and Eraser.
  • The Bus Came Back: Saw, who had been strangely absent ever since episode 9, returns in this episode, along with a new handle.
  • Conveniently Interrupted Document: When Book looks up her definition of herself, the pages for Battle For Dream Island Again and Battle For BFDI can be also seen. BFDIA's page is cut by formatting before it can be revealed who won, and BFB's description is heavily distorted.
  • Girliness Upgrade: Saw returns with a pink handle in this episode.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Lampshaded by Fries when Lollipop praises Yellow Face's commercial for "Fork Attractant":
Fries: (to Lollipop) Not only are you not on our team, aren't you also trying to sell the exact opposite product as Yellow Face?
  • Jerkass Realization: It is in this episode that Book finally starts to realize what a jerk she's been.
  • Jump Scare: Played for Laughs. Fries, Eraser, and Bell are waiting for the contest to start, with Four and X standing idly in place. After a few moments of this, X suddenly slams into the ground.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Ruby attempts to use her "9 Mohs Scale Hardness Point" to impale team BEEP, but Snowball tells her to never do that again, to which she agrees.
  • The Load: Grassy reveals the coordinates of X's emeralds to the rest of the teams, preventing ABNTT from having an advantage over the others.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Combined with Saw's Verbal Tic:
Saw: I don't HATE this CRATE's TRAITS! I RATE it a STRAIGHT EIGHT out of EIGHT!
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Ice Cube decides to switch teams due to Book's tyranny, and eventually ends up joining iance. She is still technically a member of Bleh, however.
  • Subverted Catchphrase: During Cake at Stake, when Naily finds out she is the last one safe, she starts to say her Character Catchphrase, "I nailed it!", but stops herself just in time:
Naily: I nai...ver expected this to happen!
  • To Be Continued: In The Stinger, Team Ice Cube discovers an underground world. We then cut to a black screen reading "To be continued in BFB 14, August 7, 2019."
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Snowball, who appears more cooperative towards his teammates, and even helps save Bubble's life (at least until Flower accidentally pops her moments afterwards).
  • Yandere: Four angrily mentions that he wants to be X's "only treasure", and he will not allow X to find his emeralds because of that.
