Pencil almost gets eaten up by the Fish Monster.
The second episode of the Battle for Dream Island series. The first Cake at Stake is held, in which Flower of the Squashy Grapes gets eliminated. The featured challenge is an obstacle course. The Squashy Grapes win the challenge thanks to Needle and Teardrop teaming up against Firey in the last part of the challenge, causing the Squishy Cherries to be put up for elimination.Tropes include:
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Announcer stops the "GO" text from fully coming into place so he can tell the contestants that a contestant is missing. When Pin and Eraser realize that it's Blocky who's missing, Announcer tells the "O" to come over to "G".
- Commercial Break Cliffhanger: After Leafy accidentally kills Ice Cube, it cuts to a Stylistic Suck commercial about overpriced gumballs, as well as a Blocky's Funny Doings International segment.
- Crippling Overspecialization: Implied with Flower's Announcer Crusher. Once it collided with Golf Ball, it crumbled and exploded, implying that it was only good at crushing the Announcer and nothing else.
- Diabolus ex Machina: Blocky is missing, causing his team to lose valuable time.
- Everyone Has Standards: Pencil and Match hate Spongy, but they're willing to help him get up the climbing wall because he is their teammate.
- Faceplant: Happens to Spongy when Pencil and Match throw him over the climbing wall.
- Fast-Forward Gag: Needle and Teardrop filling their team tank with water in fast motion.
- Idea Bulb: One appears above Needle's head when she gets the idea to show herself to the scanner in order to continue. Another one appears above Firey's head when he gets the idea to burn the haystack and find the needle, and a third one appears above Tennis Ball's head when he discovers the secret path for armless contestants.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Flower's elimination, considered she was nothing more than a Jerkass. Additionally she tried to crush the Announcer, which backfired and blew her away.
- Literal Metaphor: Part of the obstacle course involves finding a needle in a haystack.
- Literally Shattered Lives: When riding down the elevator, Leafy places a bowling ball over Ice Cube. Once the ride comes to a stop, the bowling ball shatters Icy.
- Minor Injury Overreaction:Pencil: Oh no, I've been DULLED!
- Pie in the Face: During Cake at Stake, most of the safe contestants get splattered in the face when they receive their slices of cake.Announcer: Maybe I should turn down the throwing speed of the tosser.
- Running Gag: Needle falling off the climbing wall and saying "Aw, seriously?!".
- Tempting Fate:Bubble: Earlier this morning, I was really afraid of being popped, but now I'm feeling better, and I don't think I'm gonna be popped!
