- Birthday Episode: Damian celebrates his birthday here. He hates most of the proceedings and has to be roped into it by everyone else in the Bat-Family, though he does ultimately find an upside.
- Deathbringer the Adorable: Damian calls his new (small, rather cute) puppy "Murder King."
- Love Is a Weakness: Bruce's big gift — a puppy — is right on the money. Damian says that his mother never let him have a pet, saying that becoming attached to living beings made you weak.
- Not So Above It All: Damian makes it clear that he thinks he's above having a birthday party...but he visibly melts when Bruce gives him a puppy.
- Pets as a Present: For Damian's birthday his dad gets him a puppy, though it's clear he conferred with the rest of the family first.
