The babies have a car race to win a cookie trophy.

This episode includes examples of:

  • The Alleged Car: The racecar Sylvester builds is constantly losing its wheels.
  • And Your Reward Is Edible: Instead of one made out of gold, when the babies ask Granny for a trophy she makes them one out of cookies.
  • The Big Race: After seeing Granny watching a car race on TV, the babies decide to make their own cars and race them to win a cookie trophy she’s making for them.
  • Dark Horse Victory: Taz and Sylvester’s car, that had fallen apart several times and was finally rebuilt with wheels that Taz burped up, actually managed to win the race after Daffy’s car and Bugs and Lola’s car crashed into each other.
  • Directionless Driver: Parodied. When Bugs is playing with his car in the grass before the race, Lola accuses him of being lost and asks him why he doesn’t just ask for directions.
Bugs: I’m not lost, I’m just taking the scenic route!
  • Ethereal Choir: One plays every time the cookie trophy is shown.
  • Happy Dance: Sylvester and Taz do one after, against all odds, their car wins the race.
  • It's Like I Always Say:
Sylvester: Like I always say, "That’s the way the trophy crumbles!"
  • Roadside Wave: This happens to Lola when Bugs drives his car past her through a puddle of water and splashes her in the process.
  • Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: Tweety tells the other babies to start their engines, but they correct him that their toy cars don’t have engines. To humor him, they make revving noises with their mouths.

Duck! Monster! Duck!

This episode includes examples of:

  • Argument of Contradictions: The girls argue with Daffy about whether he can or cannot read.
    Daffy: Yes I can!
Lola, Petunia, & Melissa: No you can’t!
  • The Gadfly: After already scaring the other babies with his story to the point where they’re not sure they’ll be able to fall asleep, Daffy continues to scare them even more just for the hell of it.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Sylvester stays asleep through all of Daffy’s attempts to scare him, the other babies screaming, and Bugs turning the lights on.
  • Immediate Self-Contradiction: After Sylvester gets tucked into bed, he says he’ll be lucky if he can even close his eyes…and then immediately falls asleep.
  • Impossible Shadow Puppets: To scare the other babies, Daffy makes shadow puppets of various creepy creatures, a smiling face, and Elmer Fudd.
  • Mythology Gag: When trying to scare Bugs, Daffy does a shadow puppet of Elmer Fudd.
Bugs: Eh, I’m not sure what that’s supposed to be, but I don’t think it’s ever gonna scare me.
  • Nap Inducing Speech: Melissa falls asleep while Daffy is telling them a story he made up.
  • Overly-Nervous Flop Sweat: Daffy sweats nervously as everyone sits down to hear a story from him even though he doesn’t know how to read.
  • Scary Flashlight Face: One of Daffy’s tactics to scare his friends.
  • Scary Shadow Fakeout: Daffy gets so scared by his own story that he sees the shadow of a pile of stuffed animals and thinks it’s an alien, a toy crane and thinks it’s a dragon, a banana peel and thinks it’s an octopus, and a rocking chair and thinks it’s a giant.
