T'Challa's search for the mysterious artifact the Shadow Council is after takes him to Attilan, home of the Inhumans, with Ms. Marvel in tow.
Tropes:
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Zanda as Crystal pretends to be as excitable as Kamala, and tries to help her and T'Challa, until she reveals herself.
- The Bus Came Back: Black Bolt and Medusa return after last being seen in season 3.
- Capture and Replicate: Zanda abducted Crystal some time ago to take her form.
- The Comically Serious: Some mileage is gotten from pairing up the stoical T'Challa with Kamala Khan.
- Crazy-Prepared: The door to the artifact the Inhumans have can only be opened by an Inhuman and a member of the Wakandan royal family.
- Foreshadowing: When T'Challa and Ms. Marvel open the crypt door, notice how Crystal hangs back. Because she's actually Zanda, and trying to open the door would expose her.
- Karma Houdini: Zanda shapeshifts into a bird and gets away.
- Mythology Gag: There's a joke in Zanda being mistaken for T'Challa's ex-GF, since comic-Zanda was an ally and occasional lover of T'Challa.
- Psychopathic Womanchild: Zanda is not playing with a full deck. Apparently she tried to kill T'Challa for not coming to a party one time, and soon after starts ranting about her parents and childhood like a spoiled teenager.
- She Is Not My Girlfriend: Ms. Marvel gets "ex" vibes from T'Challa and Zanda's interactions, but T'Challa is very insistent they never were.
- Spot the Imposter: The inevitable problem of fighting a shapeshifter. Fortunately, Kamala is able to easily spot which one is the real T'Challa, and knocks Zanda on her behind — Zanda was still holding the artifact, a dead giveaway.
