Chapter 5
Pikachu is winded but elated from using Fusion Bolt, and Ash is just as happy, sure that they'll win the next league they try now. As they remember their Alolan friends nearby, Ash asks Latias to explain what's going on. She tells everyone that Ash has always been a helpful person, which all of them have experienced personally, and has helped many Legendary Pokémon along his way, up to and including Arceus herself, never asking for nor receiving a reward for his efforts. And hence, the Legendaries were making up for lost time and rewarding him now. Latias explains Zekrom's reward, rightfully attributes the sudden appearance of all of Ash's Pokémon to Hoopa, and shows that her own reward was letting Ash catch her.
Afterward, Ash's friends help him wash all of his Pokémon off after the explosion of sand that Fusion Bolt had caused, and while Ash finally contacts Professor Oak, Latias tells the Alolan crew how she met Ash, to their tearfulness. The following relaxation ends when all four Tapus show up. Latias explains the situation to Tapu Koko, who requests a battle, and Ash eagerly complies. A single Thunderbolt blasts the Legendary down the beach, and he retreats, the other Tapus following suit. Ash and Pikachu wonder how much more they'll be rewarded with how many Legendaries they've helped.
Elsewhere, on Ula'ula Island, a jellyfish-like creature [Nihilego] attempts to emerge from another space, heralding the looming threat of an otherworldly invasion.
