Chapter 3
On Saturday morning, Ash's friends—Mallow, Lillie, Kiawe, Lana, and Sophocles—discuss him and his many Pokémon on the way to Kukui's lab. They're stunned when they arrive to find how many Pokémon are present, and after they help him serve breakfast, Ash tells them how much he's traveled and where. The Team Rocket Trio shows up, but after a brief battle between Pikachu and Jessie's Mimikyu, several of Ash's Pokémon rush Team Rocket and blast them and Bewear off.
A familiar girl appears and glomps Ash, and he quickly recognizes Latias disguised as Bianca. Passing it off to his friends as a common name among people in Johto, he asks them to put away the Pokémon food while they catch up. Latias drops her disguise and conveys telepathically that she had come to thank Ash for saving her and Alto Mare. She prompts him to present an empty Poké Ball and allows herself to be caught, causing Ash to faint from shock.
