"Not again."

Kelly: Pablo, listen up. You might be converging with the book or whatever, but you're still a fuckin' Ghost Beater. You call the shots, not some glorified demonic romance novel.

As the survivors retreat to Ash's house, Ruby explains that the Necronomicon is festering inside of Pablo, and the tome starts possessing him, tossing him around. At the police station, people of Elk Grove confront Sheriff Emery about letting Ash go, Baal being among them. They lock eyes, and the demon tries to get him to shoot everyone, revealing the secret that he knows about Emery's fling with a prostitute in Detroit. The persuasion works, and the sheriff goes after Ash.

The Sumerian script on Pablo's body becomes more prominent, and Ruby explains that he and the Necronomicon are in convergence, and once it's over, it will take over his body completely. Ash wants to take on Baal personally and devises a plan to shove a pet tracker into his throat. Ruby rejects the plan and intends to use Pablo's situation to banish Baal, but he starts vomiting blood and is taken upstairs. The crowd gathers around the house, pelting it with bricks, led by Emery and Baal disguised as a woman. Linda tries to get her husband to stop, but Baal refuses to let him. Kelly scares most of the people by firing in the air.

Ruby starts a ritual to speed up Pablo's fusion with the Necronomicon, and Ash decides to check it out. Suddenly, the plaque on Cheryl's door moves, and he goes in to investigate. Pablo's pendant conflicts with the ritual, and Ruby can't take it off, so he rips it off himself.

Ash enters the room and sees Chet masturbating over Cheryl's clothes. Ash tells him to get out quickly, but the evil force attacks the house, and Baal realizes they have the book. Cheryl's photo starts bleeding, and blood seeps on the floor, getting into the clothes. Ash and Chet hear her voice coming from the room, and a revived Cheryl comes out, confused how she's alive. She reveals she's a Deadite and drags Chet into the room.

The locals arm themselves with rifles and fire back at Kelly, and she gives Linda a pistol to keep them at bay. In the room, Deadite Cheryl comes onto Chet and bites a chunk of flesh from his neck, but Ash saws through the door. He and Cheryl start fighting, and she briefly disappears, taunting him. Kelly runs out of ammo, and Ash tells her to help him look for Cheryl. She goes into Ash's room and sees Pablo's body covered in spells, giving him a talk to stay strong and manifest a required incantation. Walls start bleeding as Ash looks for Cheryl, and she busts through the wall to grab him, knocking the boomstick out of his hand and trying to cut him with the chainsaw. The required symbol appears on Pablo's body, but Ruby gets injured, saying that her children took her immortality.

Ash and Cheryl fight in the kitchen, and she again disappears as Chet walks in. She grabs him from behind and tells that Ash would have to kill him to get to her. Ash refuses, and Cheryl kills him by ripping his heart out. She attacks to attack Linda, but Ash blows her out of the house by a shotgun blast and confronts the crowd outside, explaining to them that he kills demons, not humans. Cheryl doesn't get up as the people aim their guns at him before moving her fingers. Ash blows her away again, revealing her Deadite features, and she starts attacking the locals, and they start pleading Ash for help. He locks her in a car trunk and cuts her head off. He becomes a hero, but Emery and Baal confront him. The demon knocks him out and takes him away.

Baal: Well, the Son of God might be a stretch, but you get the point.

  • Holy Burns Evil: Ruby can't touch El Brujo's amulet due to her demonic blood, so Pablo has to take it off himself, and Kelly has to put it back on him.

  • Storyboard Body: Pablo's body becomes fully covered in Sumerian script as he converges with the Necronomicon.
