Elwood City is hit by Hurricane Sadie, and everyone is affected. Arthur is shocked at how some people had to leave their pets behind. Muffy's first floor is flooded, and she and her parents have to temporarily relocate to a shelter. Brain is so horrified at his parents' ice cream shop being destroyed that he has trouble sleeping, and he's taken to a therapist. Being in the army, Ladonna's father is called away to help clear out the damage from the hurricane on the same week as her birthday.

- Actor Allusion: Dr. Paula is voiced by Idina Menzel. At the ice cream shop at the end of the episode, she mentions how she likes things "sweet and frozen", with a wink at the camera.
