GOB and George put their fading masculinity to task in Mexico. Later, Michael, Lindsay, and the three (yes, three) Bluth cousins take three separate trips to Mexico as well for various reasons.
The Arrested Development episode "Self-Deportation" provides examples of:
- Bland-Name Product: The "Search" company is a stand-in for Google.
- Continuity Nod: Just as nobody in the family knew what "hermano" (brother) meant in season 1, they now have the same problem with "primo" (cousin).
- The Friend Nobody Likes: After spending an entire season being recognized by nobody in the family he wanted to rejoin, Steve Holt finally introduces himself to George Michael and Maeby, who then ditch him in Mexico.
- Lonely Piano Piece: Plays when Michael decides to visit the old family apartment but nobody is there. Then he finds everyone in Lucille 2's apartment.
- Sexiness Score: While riding in the Winnebago, G.O.B and George mistake a trash bag by the side of the road for a 10/10 hot girl. G.O.B. justified himself by saying it was likely a "10-gallon Hefty sack" so it still counts as a "10".
