Recap / Arrested Development S2E8 "Queen for a Day"

Go To

When the Bluth company stock is unfrozen, Michael sells his shares to buy a new Corvette and Tobias uses his shares to purchase a gay nightclub called "The Queen Mary".

The Arrested Development episode "Queen for a Day" provides examples of:

  • Hypocritical Humor:
Michael to his sbilings: Your careless, selfish spending sprees may have cost us the Bluth Company.
(His son coming through the door)
George Michael: Hey, Dad, is that your new car in the driveway? I can't believe you got a Corvette!
  • Literary Allusion Title: To Queen for a Day.
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: George Sr., being bored, reads and notates Maeby's scripts from Tantamount Studios. Thinking George Michael is responsible, she goes and tells him that she saw his notes and they were great. George Michael, however, thinks she is referring to the love letters he had written her when he was younger.
