Michael and George Sr. argue over the firing of Kitty–Michael's assistant and George's mistress. Gob announces his intentions to sink the company yacht in a magic act on the beach, inspiring George Michael's admiration.
The Arrested Development episode "Missing Kitty" provides examples of:
- Break Him By Talking: Tobias does this inadvertently to White Power Bill by doing a psychiatry session on him.
- Driven to Suicide: White Power Bill kills himself via a fall from the prison balcony after a psychiatry session with Tobias.
- Foreshadowing: This is the first time we see the cooler containing the "H. Maddas" files (spelled "H. Maddaz" in one scene). Bonus for the sharp-eyed viewer is the name is visible briefly reflected in a mirror.
- George mentions having enjoyed firing his twin brother. Oscar would go on to be a major character.
- My Eyes Are Up Here: Kitty notes this to Michael on their first encounter after her boob job.
- Sdrawkcab Name: As seen above in the Foreshadowing entry.
- Seamless Spontaneous Lie: Lucille uses a lie like this to cover up the fact that her children's Nana died, and she's been keeping the inheritance money they want for herself. By this point in their lives, the kids know not to believe her. This just makes Lindsay try even harder to find out what happened in order to get the money.
- Similarly Named Works: In universe. Tobias produced a videotape called "Families With Low Self-Esteem" but its brief success was due people mistaking it for the popular video series "Girls With Low Self-Esteem
