Broke in both money and plane, Archer and Pam investigate the idol as a source of quick money, while the princess makes a deal with Fuchs.
- Bigger Is Better: Lana is impressed by the size of Fuchs's erection, apparently.
- Catch-22 Dilemma: Invoked by name as Pam talks about the problem that they have in that they need money to repair the plane, but cannot make money without it. Archer, perhaps showing a glimmer of conscious thought, observes that a Catch-22 is not a thing yet.
- Cordon Bleugh Chef: The reason no one goes to eat at Luigi's, which Fuchs threatens to go to after being kicked out of Mother's hotel. He actually does go there to eat breakfast the next day, but then learns the hard way that Luigi's food is crappy.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall:
- Fuchs walks about, ranting about going back to Germany then asks "why am I speaking in English?!"
- Pam insists that they are not searching for a gold monkey, as if she's talking to the viewers.
- Ransacked Room: Fuchs' bungalow gets very clumsily searched by Archer, Pam and Crackers, the last of whom needs to provide a distraction so that Archer and Pam can escape when Fuchs comes home and make him believe that a "large bat" made the mess instead of all of them.
- Shout-Out: Pam makes sure to stress the idol is not a gold monkey.
