As Archer continues investigating Woodhouse's murder, an insane heiress hires him to fake her death.

- Car Fu: Accidental. Archer gets nailed by a car with broken headlights.
- Chekhov's Gun: How does Archer find out that Cyril was involved in the smuggled Chinese women? Archer spots the dick drawing he carved into Cyril's car.
- Corrupt Cop: Cyril works for Trexler and was paid a handsome sum of money for his cooperation in smuggling the Chinese women. However, Poovey seems to have had no idea of his involvement and is embarrassingly keeping all of the Chinese women as her house guests to avoid getting punished.
- Fanservice: Charlotte (AKA, Dream Cheryl) parading around in her underwear.
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Trexler smacks Dutch a few times when he's breaking down over the loss of his feet.
- Faking the Dead: Charlotte hires Archer to "kill" her at the end of last episode. She had to clarify at the start of this one that she wants to fake her death in order to escape her family.
- Historical In-Joke: Charlotte claims that her father, a publishing magnate, started the Spanish-American War, making him an Expy of William Randolph Hearst.
- Noodle Incident: Somehow, getting the body through the lobby leaves it (and its occupants) completely wrecked, complete with ripped clothes, crying children, and multiple objects on fire.
- Of Corpse He's Alive: The driving plot of the episode, focusing on the body of a supremely unlucky maid.
- Precision F-Strike: Although censored on FXX, Charlotte saying "We just fucked!" is uncensored on the home releases.
- Running Gag: Once more, the drummer makes a rim-shot to a joke with Ray heard yelling at him to stop it.
- Someone says "So what are we doing? Are we just jumping right into this, or...?" Once per Episode onwards.
- Shout-Out: That the dead maid is referred to as "Berenice" makes the episode a reference to Weekend at Bernie's.
- Tempting Fate: Charlotte insists that they are being followed, while Archer insists otherwise. A random car with the headlights off runs down Archer. When he recovers, he insists this to be a coincidence... until a police car with Cyril and Poovey arrive.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Sandwich: Archer and Charlotte work out their plan at a diner while binging on cherry pie and codeine tablets. The pie is barely touched.
