  • Faceā€“Heel Turn: Turns out Shapiro hired the thugs to steal the Tsarina in order to reimburse the money to pay for Veronica's many debts. However, the thieves turned on him and decided to really steal the necklace, though they fail.
  • Mugged for Disguise: Three of the clowns get taken out for their jumpsuits and masks.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Cheryl considers this entire hostage situation arousing, even when the head clown threatens to kill her.
  • Noodle Incident: Getting held hostage by armed thieves in clown suits, being tied to a banister, dressed in clown make-up, and shot at with beanbags by the police made this Cheryl's "Third best birthday."
  • Something Only They Would Say: The violent mix-up between Lana, Archer, and Pam (all dressed as the clowns) defuses once Pam says "Holy Shitsnacks".
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: Archer isn't the only person who decides to disguise himself as a clown. The results are... amusingly violent.
  • Taking the Bullet: Shapiro takes a bean bag round to the groin for Veronica Deane.
  • Time for Plan B: With the thieves' plans completely going sideways they resort to Plan X: Switching their clothes and masks with the hostages and simply walk out, claiming to be the hostages.
  • You Just Told Me: Shapiro hired the clowns to steal the Tsarina. How did Archer know? He was just bluffing, and Shapiro was dumb enough to confirm it.
