Archer, Ray, and Cyril fly to Colombia on a secret mission in search of the mysterious drug cartel leader, La Madrina.
This episode provides examples of:
- Apologetic Attacker: Archer apologizes to a Colombian soldier just before kicking him in the crotch.
- Death Glare: Malory and Mitsuko engage in one after Mitsuko completely fails to move the cocaine with her holographic hands.
- Handsome Lech: La Madrina has sex with Archer because he is "guapo." Archer is slightly disappointed that it wasn't enough to prevent him from being arrested.
- Hope Spot: When the group is found by La Madrina, they think everything will be fine and Archer has sex with her. Unfortunately, they're arrested the next morning because she's actually pretending to be a cartel boss who's really part of the Colombian national police.
- The Millstone: Archer orders Cyril to steal the distributor cap from the paramilitarios' truck so that they can make a clean getaway. Instead Cyril snatches the windshield washer fluid cap!
- Too Dumb to Live: While looking for a cartel partner was actually not the worst idea, there was no reason whatsoever why Archer needed to smuggle 100 kilos of cocaine into Colombia just as a sample to show to La Madrina! All they needed was enough to prove the quality of the product which they already had inside U.S. borders. Worse, their Jeep breaks down during their getaway because Archer stuffed all that cocaine under the hood without regard to the fact that so much insulation would cause the engine to overheat!
- Undercover Cop Reveal: La Madrina is in fact a high-ranking officer in the Colombian national police who is only pretending to be a cartel boss so as to infiltrate and break the drug trade. She has Archer, Cyril and Ray arrested.
- Vomit Discretion Shot: Although the results can be seen all over Cyril’s clothing for the rest of the episode (and the next one).
