Archer and Lana extract an agent from Morocco only to find out that he's not exactly human.
This episode provides examples of:
- Beware the Nice Ones: Kazak is a big, lovable Mastiff who is capable of ripping grown men to shreds when they attack Archer and Lana.
- Big Friendly Dog: Kazak. Extra emphasis on the 'big' part. As long as guns aren't involved.
- Did Not Think This Through: Lana gets so mad at Archer that she gets out of their car and walks away — in the middle of the desert, having left her equipment and supplies behind.
- Moving the Goalposts: Malory is frequently surprised and annoyed by how accomplished Pam is, from acing the field agent exam to listing everything she did at this point, that she tries to avoid making Pam an official ISIS Field Agent. She finally gives up and says she would "think about it" (for real). Pam would officially go on a mission in the next episode.
- Shout-Out: Kazak shares his name with the dog from The Sirens of Titan.
- The Tape Knew You Would Say That: Malory expected yet another voicemail hoax from Archer when he called and quickly hangs up. Archer call again and reminds her that she needed to call him for the voicemail, hoax or not, to work.
- Thinking Out Loud: Like the previous episode, Lana continues to complain how she's annoyed by Archer.
