As the Aqua Teens go on vacation, Carl is left with only Meatwad's dolls to keep him company.

- Bait-and-Switch: The beginning makes it seem like Carl is able to understand the scribblings Meatwad left all over the front of his house, only for him to confirm right after he has no idea what it is says. He gets a call from Meatwad, who doesn't remember what it means outside of feeding his dolls.
- Deadpan Snarker: The delivery guy who bring Carl his lunch is overly sarcastic with him for no apparent reason. Carl give him $8, 8 cents more than what his order is, and he responds that he doesn't think the bank will take all of it. Carl invites him to hang out, only to say that it'll take him all night to count the money Carl gave him.
- Flaying Alive: The Amazing Mongul uses a fake woman's arm to seduce Carl and later Shake into walking towards a portal machine in Frylock's room. Once they get close, he ends up pulling their skin off.
- Hates Being Alone: Despite his blatant distaste for the Aqua Teens, it's shown Carl doesn't really have anyone else to interact with. He speaks with Meatwad's dolls, who clearly don't talk back and Boxy Brown shows resentment to Meatwad for leaving him there with him, he tries to be friendly with the delivery guy, who is needlessly rude with him, and calls a girl he had a thing for in high school at 2 in the morning. His desperation to call another girl he went to class with makes it clear he's lonely.
- Hypocrite: Carl refuses to eat with chopsticks as he considers it like eating in the woods. He ends up eating his Chinese food with his hands because he's too lazy to get up and go to the kitchen. He's later shown at 2 in the morning still covered in what is likely the sauce from the noodles he ate.
- Jerkass: Carl sets Meatwad's dolls on fire, then puts it out by peeing on them. Later, he calls a sex hotline and is angered by how much it costs. Then he breaks into the Aqua Teens' home to use their phone instead.
- Laser-Guided Karma: After seeing Rudy the robot kill Carl under this belief he was trying to rob them, Meatwad decides to get back at Shake for dropping the bed on him and making his date Amber run away crying by loudly claiming Shake took his wallet. Shake only has a second to process before Ruby shoots him dead.
