The Sticks begin the search for their friends’ mysterious kidnapper. Meanwhile, the Rocket Organization’s scientists question The Second Coming on his abilities while The Chosen One is interrogated by The Boss himself.

Tropes:

  • Ambiguous Gender: A rare aversion shown in the small town the Fighting Stick Figures stop by at, where some of the stick figures there have feminine accessories.
  • Call-Back: victim uses ropes and armed clones to subdue The Chosen One, much like how he fought Alan back in the beginning of the series. The weapons his clones use are even designed to resemble the weapons his clones originally used near the end of the video: a hammer, a chain made of keyframes, a sword, and a shuriken.
  • Cliffhanger: Yellow gets captured just as the Sticks arrive and victim reveals he’s not just after The Chosen One, he’s after Alan...
  • Conservation of Ninjutsu: victim orders his henchmen to make copies of him to help against The Chosen One. Those copies are easily set on fire, but as soon as they're gone, The Chosen One is back to having his ass kicked by the real one. Somewhat Justified in that "Agent" doesn't seem interested in helping said clones, but he immediately intervenes to sabotage The Chosen One's powers again once he goes up against his boss.
  • Covers Always Lie: The thumbnail for the episode shows The Second Coming trapped in the titular box, writing the word "HELP" with his pencil tool. At no point in the episode does The Second Coming get in the box, with The Chosen One being the only one to be imprisoned in it in the actual episode.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The Fighting Stick Figures try to smuggle themselves into the Rockets' compound, but are spotted. They can fight the guards just fine, but "Agent" is sent to deal with them. Naturally, someone who can threaten The Chosen One has no trouble beating them all into submission in seconds.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: The Chosen One is at a massive disadvantage in the Box, but still doesn't let himself be easy prey. After initially being surprised by his powers not working right and victim's enhanced strength, The Chosen One starts to get his head in the game and even adapts his tactics to catch his captors off guard. Still, it's clearly a losing battle, and every time he gets the upper hand the Box pulls out a new tool to negate it until he can't keep fighting.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Possibly. Ballista crosses its arms and "Hazard" shows Visible Silence when "Agent" gives victim a whip to fight with, and given how the Chosen One seems visibly overwhelmed by it, it's not hard to see why.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Whenever the Symbols tab is on screen, it shows victim's name (silently confirming his identity) and the names of all the items summoned by victim during the episode, from his weapons to the chair, light and photo used during the interrogation.
    • When The Second Coming is being walked to the test chamber, a blackboard in the background shows a circle marked with six points on its circumference generating the sine and cosine graphs, referencing Animation vs Math.
  • Internal Reveal: The Second Coming finds out that he has powers when he catches a glimpse of The Chosen One's memories showing him shooting a green laser.
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": Everyone involved barring the Chosen One is stunned to see the memory of the Second Coming attacking the Dark Lord; including the Second Coming himself who is clearly thinking "I did that?!" when he sees it. Some of the underlings immediately seal up his cell to contain him, fearing he'll bust out and attack them all.
  • Nonchalant Dodge: Powered-up victim responds to a barrage of fire blasts from The Chosen One by gently leaning out of the path of each flame without breaking his stride.
  • No-Sell: Even having The Chosen One at his mercy, victim still isn't very strong and can only throw punch after punch while The Chosen One just stands there nonplussed. This changes after the Box gives victim extra strength and speed.
  • Only the Chosen May Wield: Implied with the pencil tool's instant creation powers shown in the previous part. The scientists failed to bring anything to life when they attempted to use it. When they brought The Second Coming to use it, he was able to create an electric eel with ease, suggesting that the power he possesses has something to do with it.
  • Red Herring: At one point, "Primal" is shown sharpening his spear, indicating that he and the others might be joining victim in attacking the Chosen One. They do not; apart from "Agent" controlling the flash interface, they all remain spectators.
  • Rule of Three: When interrogating the Chosen One about Alan, victim questions him thrice before giving up and slapping a memory scanner on him.
  • Un-Paused: When the Chosen One is, well, un-paused, he flies straight into the wall of his cell; it takes him a few seconds to realize he is not fighting in that open field anymore.
  • Wham Shot: After the Chosen One is locked in the titular box, the monitor in front shows several assets which can be imported for the Boss to use. The last item on the list? "victim".

The Organization

When the organization discovers Yellow being associated with Alan, the mercenaries prepare to hunt down Yellow, giving us a nice tour of the building itself in one shot.
