Hollywoodchuck: Baynarts Woodchuck heads off to Hollywood to become an actor.
Animator's Alley provides examples of:
- The Bore: Eventually, the Warners get tired of listening to Cap drone on and on.
- Decoy Getaway: The Warners make dummies of themselves to replace them while they run away from Cap. They make the heads bob to make it seem like they're still listening.
- Motor Mouth: Cap Barnhouse, the animator that the Warners interview, never stops talking.
Can't Buy a Thrill provides examples of:
- The Cameo: The Warner siblings and Ralph dash by during the Running of the Bulls.
- Badly Battered Babysitter: Gina keeps trying to protect the Hippos from getting hurt, and ends up taking the brunt of the injuries.
- Shout-Out: Gina tries to fend off the bulls with "Klaatu Barada Nikto".
- Threatening Shark: The hippos decide to go shark-diving. Their zoologist, Gina, winds up getting eaten by a shark.
- Toros y Flamenco: One of the dangerous activities the Hippos try is the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona.
Hollywoodchuck provides examples of:
- Bears Are Bad News: In the movie, Baynarts keeps running into a grumpy old bear who beats him up.
- The Cameo: Slappy Squirrel and Ralph make quick cameos.
- Do Not Call Me "Paul": Baynarts insists on being called Charlton.
- Enemies List: A Running Gag involves every time someone rubs Baynarts the wrong way, he has them sign their name on a book, so that "when I'm famous, I'll make it a point not to like you."
- Not in Kansas Anymore: In an intentional reference to Dorothy's famous line in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, when the bus to Hollywood Baynarts rides on leaves Kansas, it passes a sign reading "You're Not in Kansas Anymore."
- Shout-Out: The movie Baynarts/Charlton stars in is a spoof of the various animal movies made by the Disney studio in the '60s and '70s. The folksy narrator is based on Rex Allen, who narrated many of those movies.
- Small Name, Big Ego: Baynarts/Charlton is convinced that he's destined to be a big star, and certainly acts like he already is.
Closing Tower Gag: "Sit, Ubu, Sit."- Yakko, Wakko, and Dot
