Tropes applying to this episode:

• Big Bad Friend: Although the Imposter is Mr. Egg, the real villain is Captain for starting the zombie virus in the first place.
• Downer Ending: Everyone is either zombified or dead, and Captain's zombie virus will likely continue to spread.
• Face–Heel Turn: Captain unleashes a zombie virus on the lobby just to spite Player for not reciprocating his friendship.
• Fighting from the Inside: Implied. Mr. Cheese struggles to say his Catchphrase and refuses to murder Player on Captain's behalf, instead throwing them both into lava.
• Gory Discretion Shot: Player and PoopyFarts getting Devoured by the Horde is not shown onscreen, though you get to hear it.
• Hoist by His Own Petard: Captain dies at the hands of a zombified Mr. Cheese, who knocks them both into the lava.
• Motive Rant: Captain goes into one after revealing his Face–Heel Turn.
  Player: Captain, what's going on here? Answer me!
  Captain: Your friend [Mr. Cheese] here has been infected with my little virus!
  Player: Your virus?
  Captain: Yes. A computer virus that would infect every pet on Among Us. Including little Toto.
  Player: But-but why?
  Captain: Isn't it obvious? I wanted to win, of course! But more importantly, I wanted you to lose.
  Player: But we're such good-
  Captain: Friends? Don't make me laugh, Player! You never cared about me, even after everything I've done for you! You love hanging out with Veteran! You love going on little side adventures with Mr. Cheese! But Captain? Well, there's no time for picnics, no time for birthday parties, no time to remember his name!
  Player: Captain, I-
  Captain: Save it! Mr. Cheese, take out the trash.
• Once Done, Never Forgotten: Captain makes sure to throw some shade on Player and Mr. Cheese for cheating.
• Plot-Irrelevant Villain: Mr Egg is the Imposter, but other than his zombified self killing Stoner, he's incidental to the plot, since Captain is the Big Bad.
• "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Captain gives one to Player during his Motive Rant.
  Player: But we're such good-
  Captain: Friends? Don't make me laugh, Player! You never cared about me, even after everything I've done for you! You love hanging out with Veteran! • Took a Level in Jerkass: Captain started a Zombie Apocalypse because he wanted Player to lose for taking their one-sided "friendship" for granted.
• Zombie Apocalypse: The lobby is afflicted with a virus created by Captain that turns several players into zombies.
• Zombie Infectee: Mr. Cheese is bitten by a zombie and spends the rest of the episode slowly transforming into a zombie.
• Wham Episode: Captain pulls a Face–Heel Turn and permanently ends his friendship with Player.
