- Brick Joke: As Julien is handing out mangoes near the end of the episode, cut to Willie still on his boat from the beginning of the episode, understandably upset as it is now sinking, but changing his tune completely when he happens to catch a stray mango.
- Easily Forgiven: Lemurs just love mangoes that much.
- Exact Words: The one hater turns out to be Mort. Since the question asked was "Do you like King Julien", his answer was "No, he LOVES King Julien".
- Friendly, Playful Dolphin: Willie assumes this to be the case, but they turn out to be aggressive dolphins instead. A later episode will reveal Willie has problems telling dolphins and sharks apart.
- Line-of-Sight Alias: Julien sees a lemur sitting at a table and comes up with "Chair Lemurtable" as his disguise name.
- Literal-Minded: When Julien says all he wants is to be loved by everyone, he means everyone.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: A fake mustache made out of leaves on a stick. No one is fooled.
