Beverly High Eagles are headed off for a match against South Crenshaw Chargers for the state championship. Spencer feels conflicted about his status as a Crenshaw boy who is going to play against them. Meanwhile, the Baker family is still dealing with the revelation of Billy's affair, while Coop attempts to find a way to arrest Tyrone through the law enforcement.

  • Anger Montage: Fed up of being abandoned by her father, Layla completely wrecks her house and throws her father's records to the pool.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite belittling him and saying that he isn't a Crenshaw boy anymore, Chris asks Corey to give Spencer a gold necklace that signals he still considers him family.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The Beverly High Eagles win, Spencer gets his whole family back, and Tyrone is finally arrested. But the Baker family is torn apart, with Billy moving out of the house back and resigning as coach of the Eagles, returning to Crenshaw, and Layla has some serious abandonment issues that will not likely be resolved even after she reconciles with Olivia. Finally, Spencer is faced with the question whether he will abandon his newfound team in Beverly High and return to South Crenshaw High or not.
  • Bring It: When questioned by Malik what Coop will going to do if Tyrone hunts her:
    If Ty dumb enough to run up on me (brandishes a gun), I'm gonna be ready for him.
  • Cliffhanger: The question whether Spencer will remain in Beverly High or return to South Crenshaw High is left unanswered.
  • Forced from Their Home: Billy is banished from the Baker house and moves back with Willie in Crenshaw.
  • Mama Bear: Janelle still doesn't accept Coop's sexual orientation, but she will not let her daughter be murdered by a gangbanger.
  • Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe: The end of the episode reveals that while Spencer is definitely Grace's child with Corey, the real question is about Dillon, who might be conceived during Grace's affair with Billy.
  • Only a Flesh Wound: Preach survives Tyrone's attack and is currently recuperating at the hospital.
  • You and What Army?: It seems that Tyrone gets Coop cornered at a bathroom, with him bragging that he still has loyal supporters while she is weak and alone. Coop replies that she is not weak... and she is not alone. Cue LAPD officers appearing to arrest Tyrone.
