Heath and Akiko are receiving training with Funeral Parlor, alongside interactions between Heath and Ayase which first shows the seeds of development between the two. During that time, hilarity ensues of Ayase being such a tsundere towards Heath, and the accidental kiss resulting him being punched in the face by the wheelchair bounded girl.
The day of Ayase's test shows Heath and Akiko's Voids holding the fort against the Steiner, while the Jones siblings race to the finish in passing the test. As Funeral Parlor congratulating them, and Kenji arriving to bring his scorn while Ayase told him to screw off, a Leukocyte satellite is reported to kill off Gai's squad that Gai is the sole survivor for this related mission.
During the briefing for the mission, Shu is hesitant of losing more lives, but after Inori shows him of Gai's regret, alongside Shu and Gai having a fist fight in settling their differences, both cooperate to ensure the mission's success. Funeral Parlor fights off GHQ forces, leading to Shu and Gai's group with Kenji's Void to disable the satellite's security systems. Segai arrives in sending Mezuki and Gozuki to take down the intruders, but Heath and Akiko arrive in time that Funeral Parlor then kills the two cybernetic beastmen.
Unfortunately, this causes the Leukocyte satellite in about to crash land into the city. Gai uses the pen transmitter in getting the falling satellite's attention, but Shu saves the day when combining Inori and Kenji's Voids to fire a laser beam that destroys the satellites. Shu and Gai apologizes as the former did the right thing.
Meanwhile, Keido and Yuu are seeing the events. Yuu cryptically mentions, "Cocytus trembled with your efforts. It won't be much longer before she awakens. She'll rise from her slumber seeking her beloved king."
