To get to the bottom of Haida's daily routine after his apartment is occupied, Fenneko joins him and Shikabane as a new player to hang out in their online game.
However, she and Retsuko aren't the only ones that are concerned about their hyena friend.

- Bittersweet Ending: After learning what Haida has been through, Retsuko decides to have him live with her in her apartment. Sweet at first, their lifestyles start to clash and she also has to worry about what her mother will do if she finds out the person she is seeing is unemployed. Unfortunately, Haida runs into the mother on his way back.
- Cool and Unusual Punishment: The worst Haida gets out of not telling anyone about his apartment situation is a deafening death metal session, especially when it's clear that he and Shikabane are not an item just because they are bunking in the same cafe booth.
- I Choose to Stay: While not much is known about Shikabane's life, she admits/claims that she is used to cafe life unlike Haida.
- Internal Reveal: Anai tells Retsuko and Fenneko that he turned down Haida when asked to crash at his place last episode.
- The Mole: Fenneko poses as a new player named "Fennelope" and enters in the same online game as Haida and Shikabane. When she gains their trust she can invite them to a real life meet-up to prove whether or not Haida is really cheating on Retsuko.
- Nightmare Face: When Haida lays on his improvised bed in Shikabane’s personal booth, he sees Retsuko above the cabin, staring at him with red glowing eyes. This is followed by her friends having the same expression as Retsuko.
- No Name Given: While Haida uses his real name for gaming, Shikabane is not hers and refuses to tell him her real one.
- Oh, Crap!: Haida when he discovers his friends tailed him all the way back to the internet cafe and lying down close to Shikabane.
- Properly Paranoid: After hearing Retsuko reveal that Haida is currently living with her, they warn her that she will get tired of him in a month. One month later...
- The Password Is Always Sword Fish: Fenneko learns that Haida still uses the same email and password ["retsuko love"] from last season.
