A Crossover episode between Adventure Time and Minecraft, of all things.

Finn and his friends experience setbacks and creative triumphs in a fantastic new vision of Ooo.

Tropes:

  • Art Shift:
    • The entire episode has the blocky style of Minecraft while preserving the same art style of Adventure Time.
    • The intro made for the episode, done by Paul Robertson and Ivan Dixon.
  • Breather Episode: Sandwiched between "Gumbaldia" and the series finale.
  • Continuity Nod: Marceline summons a trio of skeletons to help her build a windmill.
  • Crossover: With Minecraft.
  • Fake Crossover: Not considered part of the canon.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Ice King steals a pumpkin from Finn, but he ends up bumping into the Enderman, who proceeds to chase after him.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Finn's philosophizing on Jake throwing away the diamonds, thinking he's wasting something precious but that it's meaningful to him, clearly reflects someone wondering why people play games like Minecraft in the first place.
  • Merchandise-Driven: The episode itself was made to promote Minecraft and the AT mash-up pack.
  • Motivation on a Stick: As in the game, Finn uses the classic carrot on a stick when riding Mr. Pig, who complains that Finn could just tell him where to go.
  • Poke the Poodle: Ice King's idea of "griefing" Finn and Jake is planting a tree on top of their tree house.
  • Special Edition Title: The episode uses an 8-bit version of the opening sequence.
  • Talking the Monster to Death: After hours of Finn standing still and avoiding looking the Enderman in the eyes, LSP comes along and starts talking to him. The Enderman quickly tires of listening to LSP and walks away.
  • Worthless Yellow Rocks: Jake is only mining diamonds so he can throw them into lava. Finn insists that he make something more useful with them, but Jake doesn't listen.
  • Wrecked Weapon: Finn loses another sword at the beginning of the episode while fighting a spider mob. But since this is Minecraft, item durability is a common thing.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: After spending the rest of the episode trying to grow a lemon tree, Lemongrab finally succeeds... only for him to realize that he grew an apple tree instead. Cue him screaming "Unacceptable!"
