Finn hears a mysterious song while judging a Battle of the Bands.
Tropes:
- Battle of the Bands: Princess Bubblegum sets one up and has Finn be the judge as a way to get his spirits up.
- Call-Back: Finn's in a funk because the Finn Sword is still broken.
- Mid-Battle Tea Break: A variation. The crowd stops fighting to listen to Ice King's song before continuing their fight.
- Musicalis Interruptus: Ice King was singing the first half of his song before Princess Bubblegum shot a cushion at him to stop.
- No Ending: There is no conclusion to the actual Battle of the Bands plot due to Finn, Jake, and Rainicorn ditching it. The last we see of it has the whole crowd of listeners devolving into a riot when the Penguin "crowd controllers" start attacking them while the Ice King is subdued by Bubble Gum when he attempts to sing his own song.
- Shout-Out: When Ice King crashes the Battle of the Bands, he tries singing "Do the Boogaloo" by Quango and Sparky.
- Time for Plan B: The Battle of the Bands is Plan C.
