- All-CGI Cartoon: The graphics are completely CGI in this episode rather than traditional animation like previous episodes. The episode was animated by special guest David O'Reilly.
- Angrish: PB yells angry gibberish while smashing Ice King's computer.
- Art Shift: The animation in the episode is CGI, which gets increasingly more glitchy as the episode progresses and the Ice King's virus causes reality to get more and more screwed up.
- Author's Retaliation: When Finn says that professional animators must "have no life whatsoever" he inexplicably punches himself in the face.
- Bait-and-Switch: The Trailer for the episode was not shown before it's initial airing in favor of showing a very brief trailer for an episode of Regular Show instead. Meanwhile, in Canada, Teletoon promoted the episode as "Ice King Time".
