Tropes
- Bait-and-Switch: The Naked Wizard's problem is that he's, well, naked. This is solved by fashioning a hat out of steam from the dragon's fire, as opposed to covering up any of his sensitive bits.
- Freudian Excuse: Finn explains his Samaritan Syndrome by recalling an incident when he was lost as a baby, and no one would help him when he got stuck in a pile of his own "boom-boom".
- From Bad to Worse: Finn's first solution to the mountain's crying is to have the marauders wear soft, cushioning animals as armor and gauntlets so they don't hurt each other. Reasonably, the mountain is still upset because they're just punching the animals now.
- Genius Loci: Finn and Jake follow the sound of crying up a mountain, only to discover that the crying is coming from the mountain itself. Later in the episode they discover another talking mountain just behind the first one.
- Godiva Hair: The Naked Wizard's crotch is thankfully covered by his long white beard.
- Nobody Calls Me "Chicken"!: Finn takes offense to the Marauder Leader calling him a chicken, and explains his desire to help those in need to the Marauders.
- No Infantile Amnesia: Finn clearly remembers being lost in the woods as a baby and being found and adopted by Jake's parents.
- Rube Goldberg Device: Finn ends up setting up one of these to solve everyone's problems at once.
- Samaritan Syndrome: This episode establishes, via flashback, why Finn feels obligated to help out everyone with their problems.
