Full recap

Tropes in this episode include:

  • An Arm and a Leg: Oodle does this to all the contestants with limbs (and Showery) with the exception of Blanket, Jelly, Bone, Whoopee Cushion, Domino, and Nacho for the sake of the challenge. This doesn't last too long, though, as the ones that do lose their limbs regain them after exiting the claw machine through the pick-up slot.
  • Ash Face: Oodle's face gets covered with ash when he opens Team 5's claw machine only to have fire blown into his face when Pitchfork breaks it.
  • Bob Ross Rib: When Team 5 learn about Oodle's oversight of having the two flying characters (Antimatter and Farty) still be able to fly, Oodle states that there are no oversights and just accidents while also parodying The Joy of Painting.
  • Call-Back: A couple times this episode referenced the pilot.
    • When Chocolate Chip dodges the football Oodle throws at her, it ends up hitting Glove. There was a similar incident that involved him, Oodle, and a football in the pilot.
    • This exchange between Nine and Antimatter would ring a bell to die-hard fans.
Nine: Antimatter, you don't have limbs, silly!
      Antimatter: O contraire.
  • Debut Queue: The debut of minor character Cinnamon Bun.
    • Also the debut of "Red Eyes" the entity that possessed Bone off-screen last episode. Whatever it is, it causes Bone to be more confident and gain the respect of his teammates.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: When Oodle tells Team 2 that Jelly will be their crane's operator, Jelly says "Shinamonrōru ga oishii yo ne!" (Cinnamon buns taste good!).
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Apricot's death.
  • Literally Shattered Lives: Glassy's death.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Pitchfork goes through one when Pear causes their team's second penalty.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: When Team 2 spotted another oversight from Oodle, where Jelly was unable to pick up Safe due to her size, Oodle just warps off, complete with a Super Mario World keyhole exit sound effect.
  • Title Drop: Oodle indirectly drops the title when there were two teams left in finishing the challenge.
Glove: He did it! He said the thing!
