Radar / The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat

Go To

Much like other cartoons at the time, The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat had its share of sneaking stuff past the censors.

  • In "Guardian Idiot," when some skeleton pirates prepare to attack Felix, their captain says "Let's carve him a new blowhole." That's basically the pirate equivalent of "rip you a new one."
  • The scene in "Star Trash" of Mr. Gleep checking out his computer makes it seem like he is watching porn. Here's the clip (it's at :19)
  • In "Phoney Felix", Felix is tied up in a building that ends up flooding. No problem—he leaps out of an overflowing window, salmon-style:
    "I feel like spawning!"
  • In "Super Felix", the Elf's flashback implies that he was raped by a bunch of beavers.
  • In "Step Right Up", one of the attractions at the bogus freak show Felix visits is a seemingly ordinary woman. A boy approaches the woman and asks what she's got, and the woman replies in a masculine voice "You don't want to know".
  • The female cactus in "Felix's Gold Score" has a detailed derriere.
  • In "Forever Rafter", Felix and Sheba awaken a giant in a towel by putting a chunk of ice underneath his towel. It's clear that the giant is awakened by the shock of having something cold near his privates.
  • In the episode "Black Magic Bag" Rosco is held hostage by the moon in his mouth mainly because he said his face was bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
  • In the opening of "The Sludge King", a mouse is clearly getting a look up Candy's skirt.
    • In that same episode (In a literal sense) the main villain lives in the sewers and when you first meet him he claims to own the place and the first thing you see when he says that is a stream of brown sludge-like substance pouring from the ceiling. It's obvious what that substance is.
    • The main villain is also a consumer of Grog, Grog is an alcoholic beverage usually mixed in a toilet bowl.
  • At one point in "The Milky Way", Felix grabs at what he thinks is cottage cheese. The scene pans out to reveal that Felix just grabbed the bare ass of a hippo woman bent over with her pants down, who promptly slaps Felix.
  • The episode "Bet A Billion Bill" During the song he has this shocking lyric:
Bill: Some people think it's like a drug. They say I'm hooked on betting.
  • In the episode "Viva Lost Wages" Bill said his luck was ruined by a Black Cat and then one of the hobos point to the Jazz player saying "You mean that black cat?" but thankfully Felix was right behind him.
  • Tons of innuendo in "Attack of the Robot Rat":
    • In the episode where Felix tells his magic bag to do his laundry the bag makes high-pitch mumbling noises and Felix lightly scolds him by saying "Poo poo mouth, You shouldn't say naughty words" and spanks him.
    • The titular Robot Rat resembles a big, musclebound anthropomorphic rat. It has enormous pecs with visible nipples, and wears nothing but underpants.
    • Leadfanny's reaction to seeing the Robot Rat is "It's so big!" and he continues to stare at it lovingly.
    • There's also Felix's reaction when the Robot Rat grabs his Bag of Tricks:
      Felix: Hands off my sack!
    • One of the Robot Rat's gadgets is a cannon that comes out of the lower part of his stomach, and sags after it fires a cannonball. Although the cannon is positioned a little too high up on the robot's body, the implications are clear.
    • The Mad Doctor urges the Robot Rat to "attack him from the rear!"
  • "The Maltese Milkshake":
    • Felix has a Film Noir-inspired dream where Candy Kitty (playing the role of a Femme Fatale) hires him to find her missing milkshake. When she says she wants her "shake" back, Felix briefly glances down while saying "Doesn't look like it was ever missing to me."
    • At the end, when Felix brings Candy the milkshake, she asks "How can I repay you?" Felix gives the camera a very sly look while raising his eyebrow twice. He starts to kiss her, but is interrupted by the villain's two henchmen. Turns out one of the henchmen was already her boyfriend, and Candy didn't care until she was caught.
  • At the end of "Felix Breaks the Bank," Felix pulls a Seen-It-All Suicide by dropping a safe on himself. During the Iris Out, you can see black liquid leaking out from under the safe. Keep in mind that Felix was created during the era of the Inkblot Cartoon Style. This is Felix's blood.
  • The titular group in "Order of the Black Cats" is basically a G-rated cult. They idolize black cats and dress up in cat costumes. Also, at one point, they do a very Nazi-like salute.
