It's funny the way morphing works. It's never totally logical. It's never exactly the same twice, either. And it is always, always gross. Even as I was morphing, I was watching the others undergo changes. It was a scene out of some lunatic's darkest nightmare. Bodies melted. Weird appendages grew suddenly, here and there. Teeth appeared before there was a mouth to hold them. Fur grew like one of those time-lapse videos of mold, just shooting out of the skin. Big humans tottered unsteadily on tiny doglike legs.
If you just happened to wander in and saw the spectacle of four kids and a bird all melting and mutating and squirming as two giant aliens watched, you'd definitely think you were insane. You'd want to see a psychiatrist. After you stopped screaming.
Animorphs #13: The Change

Instantly a huge soft weight pressed down on Quentin, settling on his shoulders, bending him forward. He crouched down, straining against it. He tried to fight it, to lift it. It was crushing him! He bit back panic. It flashed through his brain — the Beast was back! — but this was different. As he doubled over he felt his knees folding up into his belly, merging with it. Why wasn't Professor Van der Weghe helping them? Quentin's neck was stretching and stretching out and forward, out of his control. It was grotesque, a horrible dream. He wanted to vomit but couldn't. His toes were melting and flowing together, his fingers were elongating enormously and spreading out, and something soft and warm was bursting out of his arms and chest, covering him completely. His lips poured grotesquely and hardened. The narrow strip of roof rose up to meet him.
And then the weight was gone. He squatted on the gray slate roof, breathing hard. At least he didn't feel cold anymore. He looked at Alice, and Alice looked back at him. But it wasn't Alice anymore. She had become a large gray goose, and so had he.

Suddenly, the sounds of bones breaking filled the air as Bruce's flesh rippled like liquid. Three tendrils covered in twitching eyes and suppurating maggot-like mouths burst out of his back, his flesh then started tearing and shaping into multiple maws filled with either fangs or eyes, grey fleshy tendrils slithering from wounds before he started bleeding, ejaculating, excreting, and salivating before the fluids solidified in a black rubberous substance and wrapped around his body like a morbid burial shroud. His body tore and snapped in ways that should not have been possible, muscle mass and organs forming and rearranging, bones breaking and reshaping in unnatural ways. Orange radiant bile spewed from his eyes and mouth, the solidified fluids reached his head and sprayed out into tentacles, two protuberances ripping through the temples, the chest tearing open as insectoid limbs ripped through the wound while clear viscous fluid bubbled out of the cavity.

The group all backed away with wide eyes and horrified expressions, some like Elijah even vomiting at the sight and sounds of the transformation, Luna putting her hands to her mouth in horror, and the Colonel gripping his rifle in fear. When it was finished, Bruce was no more, there was only Raum.

Kiss me
I'm feeling so much better
Kiss me
And I can make you strong
Hide, hide
I'll find you soon enough
Your bones will harden and your skin will slough
Kiss me
You can't escape forever
Kiss me
I know you'll like the change
The eggs will fill your veins
Let me explain
A second's pain gives way to pleasures only dreamed of
So kiss me...

inflamed it is, burning it does. bleeding from each hole, fore and aft, leaking down my legs, blood and excrement. my lungs are in my vomit, i pass clots of my organs now onto the filthy stone. drink this, he says, and i did drink it, i did do that. because of the changes, they ripple inner me, my teeth sneeze out and scatter like mice in the dark. i cannot find them all, gathered what i can, push them back into my grey gums with my fingers but the nails are all weepy and falling out. drink it, he says, it'll help the running of the fever, because not us all can take the change. on the other table, a beast under a blanket. i never wanted to see under that, but he drank it too, he passed it under the blanket and i heard it drink. dear god almighty, how can a man shit so much blood and still live? Unknown Author, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs

"Took delivery of another batch of imbeciles today. They are the sorriest specimens of humanity I have ever seen. No-one asks where they go to. The authorities of Bedlam are simply happy to reduce the over-crowding in their teeming, stinking halls. We measure their skulls, check their teeth. We give them Laudanum to pacify them. They wait in line, livestock, dull brown eyes and filthy skin. Many soil themselves as they wait. Into the manipulator they file in silence. I hear the hissing of gas. I hear the dull groaning as teeth are removed, as bones reset. I hear the pigs screaming. We have removed all the mirrors. After the process, it is their reflections that trouble them the most. Afterwards, when they sleep, I walk amongst them. My children, I whisper to their dreams, you are my children now. I have children once again, and your forms imperfect will be the engines to make my own blood flow again."
Oswald Mandus, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs

"I take it back, Gary! Something is wrong with meeeee—ow!"
Spongebob Squarepants, turning into a snail

"Day one: fever and memory loss. Day two: hallucinations and greying skin. Day three: hair loss and blood leaking from all orifices. Day four: excruciating pain as the skeleton and organs reform and reposition. Day five: the host's personality has disappeared. Fingers, toes, and limbs elongate. Day six: the flesh around the mouth splits to make way for tentacles. Day seven: a mind flayer is born. This is the annotated version, of course."
