When Christmas Eve arrived, everyone was anxious that Santa not go hungry during his long night's work. Rabbit always set out a steaming bowl of his flavorful vegetable stew. Piglet, who could never make up his mind as to what Santa might find the most appetizing, provided a mug of hot cocoa and a list of what was to be found in his very small but well-stocked pantry, along with an invitation for Santa to help himself! Pooh thought a snack was a good idea at any time, even if it wasn't for him. So every Christmas Eve, he placed a plateful of homemade gingerbread snowmen and a big glass of frosty milk on the fireplace hearth in expectation of Santa's need for a rest after packing the sackful of mostly edible presents Pooh was always in hopes of receiving all the way from the North Pole!
