There’s a reason you never see Luke Skywalker sniping womp rats in his T-16. Compared to everything else that happens in Star Wars, that’s as boring as the day is long. From a storytelling perspective, the only reason womp rats ever existed in the Star Wars universe in the first place was so that Luke would one day eventually blow up what was at that point the universe’s most powerful space station with a single proton torpedo. For that, how much screen time do womp rats get? Absolutely zero seconds of screen time.
