The Dick Show
is a weekly comedy podcast started by Dick Masterson of Dr Phil fame as a Spiritual Successor to his previous podcast, The Biggest Problem In The Universe. The show originally focused on Dick's attempt to find a new cohost, but grew into a bizarre counterculture show that focuses more on pushing boundaries, mocking censorship, and, of course, what makes Dick a rage.
The Dick Show provides examples of:
- Aborted Arc: Fans have made several attempts to list all the stories Dick said he would get to in another episode. None have succeeded so far.
- Dick's search for a co-host was this, until he decided to officially make Sean the co-host.
- The billboard plan was this at first, until it came back in the lawsuit.
- The Ace: Dick is an accomplished writer, comedian, engineer, computer programmer, musician, baseball player, martial artist, and weightlifter.
- Ascended Extra: Sean started as the audio engineer who occasionally chimed in on Biggest Problem. Now he's Dick's official cohost.

- Berserk Button: It's easier to list things that aren't berserk buttons for Dick, but broadly speaking any intrusive inconvenience or attempt to control him makes him a rage.

- Big Damn Heroes: Kian Magaña swooping in to represent '80s Girl in court when it looked certain that she wouldn't be able to get a restraining order against Mental Jess thanks to an Obstructive Bureaucrat.
- Catchphrase: "What makes me/you a rage", "The show where everything is a contest", and even the earsplitting "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAHHHH" and stream of dick-related double entendres that opens nearly every episode.
- Deadpan Snarker: Sean and Peach
- Downer Ending: Most episodes end with Dick and Sean listening to voicemails and laughing. Episode 18 ended with Dick revealing why Biggest Problem ended and looking genuinely upset.
- The ending of Biggest Problem.
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Life Coach and Dick's Man
- The Faceless: Life Coach is one of the few guests to never appear on camera.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Dick will go from casually chatting to screaming his head off in two second when something makes him a rage.
- Mondegreen Gag: Several guests have asked Dick if he meant "What makes you enraged?".
- Noodle Incident: Every time Dick says he'll cover a story another time.
- Old Master: Tommy, the small, aged Southeast Asian man with a shady past who taught Dick how to fight.

- Running Gag: Sean deleting things

Spiritual Successor: To the Biggest Problem In The Universe - True Companions: Dick and his friends are this. He even paid their legal fees when Maddox sued them for millions of dollars
- Unknown Rival: Soft J is this to Dick. He spends a lot of time antagonizing Dick, but Dick doesn't even consider him important enough to mention on the podcast.
- The Unseen: '80s Girl is mentioned in almost every episode but has never been on the show
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Sean and Dick, Peach and Asterios
- Wax On, Wax Off: Dick offered to do housework for Tommy, the Old Master he was taking kung fu lessons from, in hopes of getting this sort of treatment. Unfortunately, Tommy just had Dick do body work on his car, and no wisdom whatsoever was gained.
- Wham Episode: Episode 18 has Dick getting kicked off Tournament of Nerds after Maddox released a video accusing him of stealing money and being a Straw Misogynist. It ends with Dick revealing that the Biggest Problem ended because he went home from a wedding with Maddox's ex-girlfriend and Maddox couldn't get over it. Bonus Episode 18 Maddox sued Dick, Coach, Madcucks, and Asterios for 400 million dollars, which he lost.
