Take To The Sky: The Air Disaster Podcast is a podcast covers airplane crashes. It is narrated by Shelly Price and Stephanie Hubka. Each episode is about an hour long, though length can vary somewhat.

This work contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Ace Pilot: The flight crew of Scandinavian Airlines System Flight 751, who are able to crash-land their plane when both engines fail with no fatalities.
  • The Alleged Car: The intro to Flash Airlines Flight 604 features a story about a man who bought a plane that crashed due to mechanical issues seven times in seven days. Among other things, the previous owner had fastened a block of wood to the nose of the plane to protect it from (presumably expected) nose-first landings.
  • Disposable Pilot: The pilot of N559DW, a King Air on a charter flight, suffers a fatal heart attack during takeoff, forcing one of the passengers to have to learn how to land the plane courtesy of air traffic control.
  • Heroic Bystander: Lenny Skutnik, who witnessed Air Florida Flight 90 crash into the Potomac River and dove in to save one of the trapped passengers.
  • Man on Fire: The fire on Pilgrim Airlines Flight 458 burns through the control panel and ignites the clothes on the two pilots. Both men survived.
  • No Party Like a Donner Party: The survivors of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 are forced to eat their own dead to survive.
  • Ret Irony: The captain of El Al Flight 1862 was three months from retirement.
