- After the End: The hosts answer questions about what happens after the apocalypse begins.
- Canon Discontinuity: It has been said many times that there is no consistent canon, save for a few running gags. In the episode "Greg Greg, the Time Orb" they say the reason there are so many contradictions with canon is because they are looking into several different timelines with different outcomes.
- Power-Upgrading Deformation: They often mention how the apocalypse will leave people horribly disfigured, but with new powers from radiation.
- Running Gag:
- From the very first episode, it’s been canon that the sun is both sentient and wields a gun.
- The bug woman is mentioned every now and then, especially on early episodes.
- The idea that most deformations in the world to come will simply be becoming strong and getting four arms.
- Occasionally they'll say "Ad break!" out of nowhere, parodying the ad breaks in other podcasts.
