Frenemies is a podcast hosted by Ethan Klein and Trisha Paytas.

The podcast was created after a run of three successful and well received guest spots by Trish on the H3 Podcast, following a feud between her and Ethan. The format involves Trisha and Ethan discussing their lives, celebrity and influencer news and other topics. There have also been trivia episodes, and segments filmed outside the studio such as the Bake Off and the Fitness Competition.

And welcome back to Frenemies

• Acrofatic: During the fitness contest, Ethan was shocked at how athletic Trisha was. Especially since he couldn't keep up during most of the challenges.
• Ascended Meme: "The Mmm Challenge", taken from a clip of Ethan pointing out that Trisha ends her sentences with an "mmm" sound.

• Award Show: The Steamies, an awards show where Trisha and Ethan pick their worsts for the year.
• Befriending the Enemy: Ethan and Trisha started as enemies, became frenemies and are now full on friends.
• Best Friends-in-Law: Trisha is engaged to Ethan's wife, Hila's brother, making Trisha and Ethan in-laws.
• Book Dumb: Ethan was obliterated by Trisha in the "Language Arts" category of their Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader contest. And for as much as he likes to tease Trisha for being dumb, some pretty dumb things come out of his mouth. Such as him saying Egypt was in Asia.
  Dan: "The first Thanksgiving was celebrated by Native Americans, and what other group of people?"
  Ethan: "Native Americans"
• Big Eater: Many episodes feature the two eating. Pizza, burgers, cupcakes etc.
• Cloud Cuckoolander: Trisha. She will often bring up strange, and out of nowhere ideas. Such as, saying she was almost drowned by a ghost at the Cecil Hotel.
  • Or the time she posted pictures of cheese, bread and other groceries on Instagram in an attempt to communicate to Ethan that she wanted to make grilled cheese sandwiches on the next episode.
• Cannot Tell Fiction from Reality:
  Ethan: "Oh, you were just following orders huh? Like at the concentration camps?"
  Trisha: "Is that a Schindler's List reference?"
• Double Standard: Rape, Male on Male: Ethan and Trisha often talk about how unfair it is that male victims are not taken as seriously, and that the people they accused don't seem to be held accountable.
  Ethan: Just more proof, nobody cares when it's a guy coming forward!
• Ditzy Genius: Trisha is ditzy no doubt, but she surprised everyone in the first trivia challenge.
  • Of course, in that same episode she went on to say that we don't need gravity.
• Dumb Blonde: Trisha is the embodiment of this trope. Of course, she often plays into it as well.
• Dreaming of Things to Come: Trisha often believes her dreams are prophetic. Some things she believes will happen because she dreamed it are;
  • She will become a famous rapper, and leave Ethan behind.
  • She will host Saturday Night Live
  • She will replace Ellen.
• Eskimos Aren't Real: Trisha didn't know Egypt was a real place until Ethan showed her pictures of the pyramids.
  Trisha: "Wow! So, there's like pharaoh's there?"
• Erotic Dream: Trisha once had a dream that Ethan was "getting banged by two guys".
• Feud Episode: Episode 5 and Episode 13 both end with Trisha storming out after a blow-out between the two. Both of these times can be attributed to Trisha's Borderline Personality Disorder, and so Ethan does not hold these incidents against her.
• Friendly Enemy: They started this way, but are now have a Friendly Rivalry.
• Gentile Jew-Chaser: Trisha is completely obsessed with Jewish people and Jewish culture. She also often brags about the fact that her fiance, Moses, is Israeli.
• Halloween Cosplay: Trisha and Ethan donned various costumes for the month of October. These included;

  • Uncle Festor (Ethan)
  • The Riddler (Trisha)
  • Jeffree Star (Ethan)
  • And of course, each other.
• Like Brother and Sister: Many fans consider Ethan and Trish to have a sibling dynamic.
• Motor Mouth: Trisha.
  Ethan: She's the world's fastest talker, bitch!
• Odd Friendship: The last thing anyone on the internet expected was Ethan Klien and Trisha Paytas becoming friends and starting a podcast together.
  • A common comment made about the show is that people who used to dislike both creators, find themselves loving them together.
• Pedo Hunt: Trisha and Ethan are absolutely disgusted by creators who have allegations of sexual abuse against them. They have made it their mission to take down certain creators allegedly involved with minors, such as James Charles.
• Self-Deprecation: Constantly.
• Shiksa Goddess: How Trisha see's herself.
• Vitriolic Best Buds: The main concept of the show.
• You Are Fat: They often joke about their weight. Either, at each others expense, or collectively.
