    • Oscar's parents are still present in his life, but he has developed a strong bond with the wolves and considers them to be his second family.
  • Justified:
    • Oscar's parents died or abandoned him somehow, and Oscar was found by some wolves that decided to take him in.
    • Truth in Television
  • Inverted: An animal is raised by people and begins to act more humanlike.
  • Subverted: A wolf notices Oscar abandoned as a young child, and decides to leave him.
  • Double Subverted: And then a monkey comes and adopts him instead.
  • Parodied:
    • Oscar grows up and lives a civilized life, but he's even identified as a wolf in some legal papers.
    • Oscar is just a rebellious youngster, and yet he's treated like he was actually raised by animals.

  • Reconstruction: Without knowledge of nearly ALL ASPECTS of human society, Oscar’s rehabilitation is slow and painstaking, but he manages to adjust.
