Go To

Basic Trope: Tasmanian Devils tend to be short-tempered and aggressive.

  • Straight: Tazzy, a Tasmanian Devil, has a Hair-Trigger Temper and can easily get violent.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Tazzy is outright Ax-Crazy.
    • All Tasmanian Devils are portrayed this way.
  • Downplayed: Tazzy is fairly short-tempered and has a somewhat abrasive personality, but is mostly just a Jerk with a Heart of Gold.
  • Justified:
  • Inverted: Tazzy is the Only Sane Man of the cast.
  • Subverted: Everyone is frightened of Tazzy due to his scary appearance, but it turns out he's actually a nice guy.
  • Double Subverted: ...But then it turns out he only acted nice to put you off your guard. Once he has you in his clutches, Tazzy shows no mercy.
  • Parodied: Tazzy is a Boisterous Weakling; he tries to be fearsome and destructive, but he's so weak and clumsy that he couldn't beat a shrub, and even small insects are able to kick his ass.
  • Zig-Zagged: Tazzy is usually pretty laid back, but if his Berserk Button is pressed, he goes absolutely ballistic!
  • Averted:
    • Tasmanian Devils are never mentioned.
    • Tazzy is very cool-headed and veers more towards Tranquil Fury when he gets angry.
  • Enforced: Tazzy is based on Taz from Looney Tunes, making this somewhat expected.
  • Lampshaded: In the middle of his rampage, Tazzy stops to ask the director if Warner Bros. is going to sue them because of how similar he is to Taz.
  • Invoked: Tazzy intentionally acts violent and bloodthirsty to scare everyone away so he can enjoy some peace and solitude.
  • Exploited: Tazzy is dropped into enemy territory specifically to cause chaos and destruction for the purposes of the people who put him there.
  • Defied: Tazzy learned to rein in his temper a long time ago out of a concerted effort to fight against the stereotype conferred upon his species.
  • Discussed: Some characters question if Tazzy is really as volatile as he appears to be, or if he just acts that way because it's expected of him.
  • Conversed: "I don't see Tasmanian Devils represented too often in fiction, but when they do appear, they're often incredibly short-tempered."
