- Alice didn't have any toilet paper with her for whatever reason.
- Toilet paper wasn't invented yet.
- It's all it's good for.
- Alice still needs to shower after going to the toilet… so why waste time/energy on wiping when the shower will take care of that just as if not easier?

- Invoked: Alice asks Bob for a blank page from his journal to use as toilet paper, but she actually wants to use it to get a Writing Indentation Clue about what he's up to.
- Exploited: Alice is a spy going through the enemy's latrines, knowing that they're low on toilet paper and may be using classified documents instead.
- Defied: Alice carries a huge supply of toilet paper with her to make sure she never runs out.
- Discussed: "Hey, what is Alice using right now?"
- Conversed: "I bet Alice is going to have to use something else as toilet paper at this point."
- Implied: Alice walks out of the bushes buttoning her pants, and at the same time Bob complains that the last page of the book he's reading is missing.
- Deconstructed: Alice uses poison ivy leaves as toilet paper. It doesn't end well.
