Basic Trope: A song (usually sung by heroes/neutral characters) about resenting the villain.
- Straight: In the movie The Troper Tale, there's a scene where the heroes sing a song about resenting the Big Bad, Emperor Evulz.
- Exaggerated:
- Emperor Evulz has a 0% Approval Rating, so everyone joins in on the song, even Evulz' own henchpeople!
- The song goes on for a very long time and lists all of the evil deeds Emperor Evulz has done.
- Downplayed: The song has a verse that mentions how evil Emperor Evulz is, but it doesn't take up the whole song.
- Justified: Well, the heroes really don't like Evulz.
- Inverted:
- "The Hero Sucks" Song
- For some reason, the heroes sing a song about how much they admire Evulz.
- Evulz sings an "I Am Great!" Song about himself.
- Subverted: The characters are about to sing about how evil Evulz is, but get interrupted.
- Double Subverted: But when the distraction is out of the way, they sing the song.
- Parodied:
- The song consists of mostly "Emperor Evulz sucks!"
- Evulz and his henchmen are singing the song.
- Zig-Zagged: The song has some moments praising Evulz, but many about why his deeds are bad.
- Averted: The heroes don't sing about resenting Evulz.
- Enforced: Evulz didn't get a song, but the producers still wanted to put in a Villain Song anyway, and this was about the closest thing they had.
- Lampshaded: ???
- Invoked: One of the heroes write a whole song about why Evulz is terrible.
- Exploited: Emperor Evulz wants to know in what fields he needs to improve, the song is a good source of information for that.
- Defied: "No, we're not singing a song about how much we hate Evulz."
- Discussed: ???
- Conversed: "I wonder why the heroes sometimes sing the Villain Song instead."
- Deconstructed: Evulz overhears the heroes singing the song. He makes sure everyone pays for it.
- Reconstructed: But he either takes it as a compliment, finds it Actually Pretty Funny or takes it constructively.
