Basic Trope: A prophecy that drives the plot.
- Straight: A Chosen One will appear to cause The End of the World as We Know It and bring God's kingdom to Earth. It's realized that Sir George is that Chosen One.

- Subverted: It turns out the prophecy is a lie. None of it was true.
- Double Subverted: There is, however, another prophecy. This is the one that Sir George was truely following.
- Parodied:
- Old man tells very detailed prophecy, after that narrative work ends, since old man completely spoiled the plot.
- The prophecy is a silly limerick that makes no sense. The seer gets very offended when called out on it.
- Zig Zagged: The prophecy is rejected, reinstated, and replaced several times.
- Averted: There are no prophecies.
- Enforced: ???
- Lampshaded: ???
- Invoked: ???
- Exploited: The heroes are able to anticipate what will happen with their knowledge of the prophecy.
- Defied: The heroes pull a Screw Destiny and violate the prophecy as quickly as possible, and it works.
- Discussed: "Who made the prophecy? Why should we pay any attention to the prophecy?"
- Conversed: ???
